Memory Disorders Center
Established in 1986, the University of Miami Memory Disorders Center (UM-MDC) at the Miller School of Medicine is one of 13 memory disorder clinics partly supported by the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs, Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative (ADI). As part of its multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and research of Alzheimer’s disease and related memory problems, the UM-MDC is a collaborative program of the Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Center on Aging, and the Department of Neurology. The center is devoted to high-quality patient care, education of caregivers and health professionals, and pursuit of clinical research aimed at better diagnosing and treating Alzheimer’s disease and related memory disorders.
